My GOP Health Care Plan
Why can’t the GOP propose this?
John McCain’s plan to get rid of the employer tax benefit and throw people into the individual market.
Government provided/subsidized/mandated catastrophic insurance.
Otherwise, have people be responsible for their own day-to-day health care costs.
Poor people get government subsides for basic care.
OK, I know the answer. That type of health care plan would be proffered if the GOP weren’t the one major party in the industrialized world that didn’t believe in social insurance That type of health care thinking would be promoted by a party that wasn’t downright nihilistic towards health care in the early 1990s.
