McCain’s Speech
I’ve never seen a crowd so obviously enthralled with a candidate who was then so uninspiring. While I’m not going to criticize a candidate for reading a pre-prepared speech, McCain was delivering all sorts of fiery rhetoric about the “greatest nation on earth” or “we’re going to defeat our enemies”, and he just kinda sounded old and unexcited. And yet, people in New Hampshire clearly adore him, and were looking for any excuse to scream “MAC IS BACK” and “USA, USA.” The guy has some sort of weird charisma that I just don’t get.
