Damn It Obama!
Obama just talked about gas prices being too high. Democrats have to stop talking about that. If you want to confront global warming, gas prices have to be higher. Obama knows this, and while I think that his policies would decrease carbon emissions, he shouldn’t be keeping up this line.
Update: Hey Embeds readers, thanks for stopping by and for all the comments. Here’s a little update I wrote for yall. Stay around, check out the site, comment on other stuff!
It is obvious that obama knows about as much as you doo about global warming. FACT: it is junk science, as the math just doesnt add up. FACT: there is nothing we can do about global warming as the scientists of the people who touted it have reapeatedly said over the last 3 years. THAT FACT has been buried deep in many of thier own articals, but easy enough to find if you read past the first two paragraphs, in most cases. And, most importantly, Since when is it the governments job to invest MY tax money in research on alternative energy fuels? that is a private sector issue. they squander enough of our money as it is.

The Democrats and Obama’s people keep saying that drilling in the U.S. will not provide enough oil to reduce our dependence on OPEC. How do they know that if they don’t allow us to drill? Just negative wishful predictions? Blame and hate America first!

High gas prices wouldn’t be a big deal if cars were more efficient. in this day and age when a manufacturer suggests that 30 MPG is something to brag about, that’s pathetic. In 1992 my dad’s Honda Civic got 40 MPG city. Now they are rated at 36 or something. We have got to get it out of our minds that it’s OK to buy cars that get this kind of fuel rating.

Obama can only criticize and not deliver. He is the type that only talks. People are not seeing through his rhetoric that if he becomes the president, the US economy will be worse than ever. Why do you think he says that the gas tax holiday is a gimmick? It is because he has taken money from oil companies to fund his campaign. Also consider this before you vote for the next president, Do u want a president whose mentors are racist? I wouldn’t.
Think Before you act.
Let’s GO McCain.

As always MR PUPPET MAN is just spewing what the DNC wants him to say….they have worked at getting these prices higher……..if drilling here means less needed to be purchase overseas…so be it…….what happened to MADE IN AMERICA…he has no clue what it is like for people to decide what they have to cut back on to meet the rising cost of gas, food, clothing and still be able to pay for the mortgage and property taxes….his ELITENESS is STILL showing

HEAR THIS Obama supporters! I used to be one of you! Please research Ron Paul. He wants to keep local government powerful. This means YOU HAVE A VOICE. Obama’s tax proposal 2433
will essentially make the US financially subservient to the UN. Do you want that? Obama’s #1 man is BILDERBERG supporter Jim Johnson.
A VOTE FOR OBAMA = A VOTE FOR ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT and do you think you’ll be in charge?
Google Bilderberg and Jim Johnson and educate yourself.
McCain Supporters: What happened to your rights in the Patriot Act? Watch out, gun control will be next on the agenda. McCain stated he would love to put Dick Cheney in a cabinet position. Dick Cheney’s connection to former company Halliburton, created billions of dollars in NO BID CONTRACTS to a company he had stock in! Is that ethical? Google Halliburton Watch and research it yourself!
Folks, there’s a war for your mind. Do your own research! Think independently! Protect Local Government and make Yourself heard!

Mr. Bush had the opportunity to veto a bill which would have allowed for us to drill in the US coastal water for 200 miles out. Obama cant do anything about the gas prices until he is president. First he has to undue the legislation that the Republican Controlled congress inacted and president bushhead signed. Secondly, I would suggest you get a car that fits your budget and get rid of your gas guzzling SUV’s that you cant even use to move your neighbor. Thirdly, President bushhead and MCCainiac had the opportunity to release 1/3 of the reserves we do have back into the open market but refused too. Fourthly, Montana, South Dakota, Idaho and North Dakota have coal, oil and gas resources that they can’t tap into because the resources are on federal land. Bush, Cheney and McCain had more than 6 years to allow us to drill because they had control and didnt do a dam thing about the issue. Dont go blaming anything on someone else until you look at the total picture. They were too worried about professional sports and who was doping… DO YOU INDIVIDUALS GET THE BIG PICTURE NOWWWWWWWW….

Matt, I think there’s no reason to criticize Obama on this point. First of all, he pretty clearly signaled that high gas prices aren’t intrinsically a problem (and got criticized for it by Republicans), so he’s not disputing the large scale point that gas prices will have to rise to reduce consumption. What he is making is the (I think correct point) that rapidly rising gas prices are a problem. I think that follows from the short-term inelasticity of gas consumption. Over a one or two year period, individuals have limited opportunities to reduce their consumption, by moving, getting a new car, or switching to mass transit. So rapid and unexpected changes just end up being a hit to people’s checkbooks, without promoting changes in behavior. Over the longer term, they have a greater ability to change their consumption patterns.
