Matt Zeitlin: Impetuous Young Whippersnapper

Michael Vick will cop a guilty plea and probably go to jail for 12-18 months.  It seems unlikely that any NFL franchise would have Vick play for them or if Goodell would even allow him to come back if a team offered him a spot.  Michael Vick is just too damned talented and famous to not play football ever again.  Which leaves him two options – Canadian Football League or the Arena Football League.  Any team that picked him up would immediately get massive media attention, PETA protesters and a huge uptick in attendance and TV watchers.  It’s safe that say that someone of Vick’s speed and skill could easily become the best AFL or CFL player within 1-2 years.  The Canadian fields are 110 yards long, vertically spreading out the defense and giving more room for Vick to light up the field.  And he’s just faster than everyone in the Arena League and would quickly dominate the game.  The future may not be bright for Vick, but when he comes back onto a football field, it will be quite the spectacle.
